My latest excuse and HRH's latest vacation

I'm an evil and wicked blogger. I'm aware of that. I was planning to blog the RAGBRAI, HRH did ride. But, we interrupted it in a few different ways. Which was good, since we lost The Mom the Monday after we returned. This meant we got extra time with her.

Enough of that, I may write more when I'm in a better place. HRH and her friend, SLY took off Tuesday for Puerto Rico. HRH took her passport for its first spin. Obviously not needed if all goes well, but she is prepared for the odd ball incident.  So far, so good. I  mean after all, she could see the whole island from one plane window, what could go wrong?

HRH has begun a new lifestyle. She and SLY are both looking really good, despite the temptations life and travel throw in their path.

Despite the rigors of travel, they found their hotel and their view and both were good.

Oh, I did mention they were looking good, didn't I?

Day one was obviously a big one. I mean it started at 6:00 AM boarding and their plane was held back from the gate when a lizard stood between them and the gate. I can't wait to hear that story.

Mets against KC...and CaDiva shows her fickle heart

CaDiva says she doesn't know anyone on the Mets anymore, But one of her old Mets friends is now on the Royals staff. So, since the Cubbies can't play, she is pulling for the KC Royals. Well, not so much today. We are trying to finish off the repair work on her teeth.

We were supposed to get three crowns today and prep for two more before we rebuild her partial. Unfortunately, the dentist found another infection when one of the two teeth collapsed.

I have to laugh, apparently I got distracted in mid-blog last October.

Just in case you don't know, the Royals one and she finally got the last of the repairs, crowns, root canals, and partial done.

Do I have any new excuses? The wedding...no, that was two years ago this coming August. The honeymoon or pneumonia? Dang, that was before last Ragbrai. Nope, I got nothing.

We haven't registered for Ragbrai yet, but we do have multiple hotel rooms across the southern tiers of Iowa counties. This year will be very hilly, but HRH plans to go five days this time. She is also trying a new lifestyle, which involves noticing what you eat and making actual choices. Go Figure - anyway, we'll see how the pictures turn out this year.

I just came from an outdoor memorial service for a cousin (The Mother's generation) and I can tell you, it is not yet exactly spring. I think we may skip April entirely and have two Marches before we drop into summer.

I got a new car. Well, new for me. She has 183,000 miles and is 12-years old. But, she has a heated steering wheel, two-driver memory and heated/cooled front and back seats. I have never owned a Cadillac, but everything said I got a good deal and a Deville is a solid car.

I have many long and involved tales about the house to tell, but I have to leave for the nail salon in 20 minutes. I would take the time, but major big wig is coming next week, so the nails need to be done.
