The Sun Is OUT!

CaDiva was up at the crack of yesterday this morning and tried (not too hard and definitely not successfully) not to wake me while she roamed aimlessly about the room. It was gray and rainy when I finally hauled my backside out from under the covers. A nice shower and hot hotel breakfast later (I did not know milk tasted so differently in the east - too bad, but oatmeal was good) we are waiting in the hotel room for the shuttle to take us on our first official tour of the honeymoon. By this time, this sun is shining, and the sky is populated with only scattered clouds.

Just a quick note to all other travelers. Yes, we do know those are your PJs even if you tuck the bottoms into your knee high brown leather boots. Points for the effort though. Because the flip-flops completely fail to disguise the laying-in-front-of-Saturday-morning-cartoons-with-a-bowl-of-Captain Crunch-look.

I had a small panic looking for the boarding pass for the tour. It is clear, this thing called "safe place" is migratory. It is never in the same location as it was when something is put there originally. Fortunately, it came swimming around again when I went to put away the camera, so we are all set to join the tour.

According to the brochure we have a busy day. There is the Maid of the Mist Boat, Also the Cave of the Winds adventure (apparently Dave, who sold us the tour, didn't understand the whole we don't do spelunking). I'm counting three falls, two islands, points and power plants. I only know the derogatory definition of an Old Scow, but we are going to see the whirlpool, so what the heck. We should probably try to get back tonight to see the falls lit up. But we'll leave that for later planning.

No news on the kitten girls, except they love HRH and they continue the hunger strike.
